This simple DIY organization tool came into being at the the spur of an inspired moment. This one is particularly for the girls out there with a ton of Hair Clips to pretty them up and then later store them safe and sound. Just like any other little girl, mine too has a bunch that used to be thrown into a bowl. There was nothing wrong with it except, most of the times the ones on the top was chosen and rest of them forgotten about and left tangled at the bottom of the bowl.
At the beginning of this month we were brainstorming if to include some storage solutions in the next edition of Malayali, I thought of our mess of hair accessory storage. Though the "storage solution" idea was put on hold, our hair clip situation lingered in my mind. Thus was this solution born.
So, off to our great clip storage.
-- Embroidery Hoop/ Any Ring or an Empty Frame-- Floral Wire / Metal wire
-- Hot Glue
-- Fabric / Even heavy craft paper would do fine.
I believe most of these things would be at hand if you have even a slightest affinity towards crafting.
This is how I proceeded. First I wrapped the Floral Wire around the Hoop in a random way, starting with a loop at one side and pulling it tight to another side. I continued this until I had the whole ring covered. Like So.
Then I cut the fabric to size and glued it on to the frame of the hoop. Finished off by tying a piece of yarn to hang up. This is not going to be super heavy so didn't need a fastener or hardware to hang up.
That's it, a pretty quick Clip Organiser is ready.
How do you like it? Interesting? Easy? Do let me know your thoughts.
